Cromagtir (pronounced: “Crow-mac-tier”) is a corruption of the Gaelic, Tir nan
Cromag, meaning “Land of the Crook”, and reflects the name of the Crooklands
farm, the first home Cromagtir Stud - Breeding Welsh Mountain Ponies Section Aof the stud.
In January 2000 the stud moved to its present home at High Dykes Farm,
overlooking the valley of the River Avon.
4.4 miles from Strathaven on the Muirkirk Rd, we are only about 20 mins from the
M74 Carlisle to Glasgow motorway. Visitors are always welcome but please phone
